Recycling
Cannon IV, Inc. is committed to the responsible use and disposal of products that respect our environment. We are also equally committed in aligning ourselves with vendors who demonstrate that same commitment.
Commitment to our Customers
We want to help our customers with their recycling efforts. As a part of that commitment, we offer many products, which will aid in those efforts:
- Remanufactured Laser Toners and Inkjet Cartridges
- High Yield Toners and Printer Ribbons
- Recycled Papers
- Paper Shredders (to recycle used paper into packaging materials)
- Printer Service to maintain printers and keep them in good working condition, extending their life and keeping them out of the landfill
Commitment to the Environment
Cannon IV, Inc. promotes a clean environment through recycling. In order to ensure that empty toner and inkjet cartridges do not end up in a landfill, Cannon IV has developed a full-circle recycling program. To date, Cannon IV has eliminated over 2,000,000 pounds of waste from the nation's landfills. We work with our customers to custom design a program to pick-up all empties after use, and recycle all components of the cartridge, including packaging.
Some of our recycling actually goes into a waste energy program to create electricity or blacktop for roads. In our focused national program, Cannon IV utilizes the help of Noble of Indiana and the Occupational Development Center of Bloomington, Illinois (ODC).

Occupational Development Center of Bloomington, Illinois
It has become a part of Cannon IV's daily work plan to support the missions of both Noble of Indiana and ODC - that is, by "inspiring the community to recognize, embrace and include the contributions of individuals with disabilities" and "to help people, and we do so by helping them get and keep jobs."
Cannon IV has not only supported these missions; we have embraced them, welcoming adults from both facilities with the same spirit of commitment, compassion and dignity in which we nurture our full-time employees.
Cannon IV began actively supporting their missions in 1991, assigning a number of tasks to the agencies for regular fulfillment.
These tasks included the sorting, labeling and preparation of mailings, along with the sorting, inspection and preparation of inkjet and toner cartridges for remanufacturing and recycling, which continues to be a viable part of Cannon IV's daily business. Because of our recycling programs, we are able to employ 50+ disadvantaged adults from these agencies on a daily basis.
So impressed with the work of Noble of Indiana, Cannon IV sought to deepen its relationship with the organization. In 1995, Cannon IV moved the mission of Noble right into our workplace, at the same time bringing a group of extremely capable disabled adults into the Cannon IV family of employees.
The employees from Noble are charged with an inkjet/toner cartridge recycling program designed by and for Cannon IV to help save the environment. The adults work daily alongside the distribution center staff at Cannon IV.
